Palworld server hosting FAQ

What is Palworld?

Palworld is a survival and crafting game by Pocketpair where you catch creatures called Pals, which fight alongside you, build, farm and work in your base.

What can you do on a Palworld server?

Build a shared base with friends in a world that keeps running when you log off, set the player limit, keep it private with a password, and play across PC and console.

How much RAM does a Palworld server need?

Palworld servers start at 8 GB. Larger groups, bigger bases and long-running worlds use more memory, so 12-16 GB suits busier servers. You can upgrade at any time.

How do players join?

Choose Join Multiplayer Game, enter yourname.play.octopuscloud.org:PORT and the server password from your dashboard.

Can console players join?

Yes. Crossplay lets PC and console players join the same server.

Is my server private?

Yes. Every Palworld server gets a generated password, shown on your dashboard, so only players you share it with can join.

Can I change the player limit?

Yes. Set Max Players in your control panel's Startup settings.

I've never run a Palworld server before. Can you help if I get stuck?

Yes. Email support@octopuscloud.org (we aim to reply within a few hours) or ask in our Discord community. Your dashboard shows everything players need to connect, and the control panel gives you a live console, file manager and backups.

Can I change my plan or upgrade later?

Yes. Change RAM, storage, backups, the CPU boost, the hardware tier or the billing cycle from your dashboard. Upgrades apply immediately with a prorated charge; downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period. Switching between DDR4 Budget and DDR5 Premium moves your server to the new hardware for you.

How do I create a Palworld server?

Choose RAM and hardware above and check out. Your server is set up automatically, and you'll find its address, port and password on your dashboard.

How long does setup take?

Setup starts automatically right after checkout. The first start downloads the Palworld server files, so it can take several minutes before players can join; you can follow the progress in the control panel console.

Can I get my money back if I don't like my server?

Payments are generally non-refundable, except where required by law. There's no contract: cancel anytime from your dashboard and keep your server until the end of the period you've paid for. If you think you were charged in error, email support@octopuscloud.org and we'll review it in good faith.

What happens if I cancel?

Your server keeps running until the end of your paid period. After that we keep it and its backups for 30 days, and you can still download your files. Resubscribe within that window and everything is restored as it was. After 30 days it's permanently deleted.

Where are your servers located?

In the Eastern USA. You can test your ping from our homepage.
